Quick Formula for Stair Runner Length
Number of stairs Ć 19 inches + Ā½ stair (for top riser) = Total Length Needed
Example: If you have 12.5 stairs, multiply 12.5 Ć 19 = 237.5 inches. Divide by 12 to convert to feet ā 19.79 ft, then round up to 20 ft.

How do I measure only my treads I have 12 treads @ 36 1/8ā wide X 12 1/2ā deep and one landing 38ā deep X 36 1/8ā wide. I only want to carpet my treads only. My residents is non Loveland co and love your DIY!!!!! Pls let me know so I can order from you guys and I will be doing the installation myself. I have the tools already.
