Donโt let "pie-shaped" steps stop you from getting that high-end runner look. As a Master Installer with over 30 years of experience, Iโve turned the most difficult part of a staircase into a simple, three-step custom package. We handle the professional cutting and finishing in our shop so your runner flows perfectly around every curve.
Why This Package Works:
Winding stairs (pies) require a specific geometry that a standard straight runner simply can't provide. This package gives you three custom-fabricated sections tailored to the exact shape of your staircase, ensuring a flush, professional fit.
Whatโs Included:
Custom Shop Fabrication: Professional cutting and edge-finishing for three (3) pie-shaped sections.
Matching Materials: Crafted to perfectly match your chosen herringbone, pet-friendly, or patterned runner.
Free Shipping: Delivered straight to your door via UPS.
How the Process Works:
Order Your Package: Lock in your base price for three custom pie stairs.
Follow the Video: After purchase, weโll send you a short, easy-to-follow video showing you exactly how to trace your stairs.
Provide Your Templates: You provide the paper "shapes" of your stairs based on our instructions, and we handle the rest.
The Result: You get a custom-finished runner that fits like a glove, with no awkward folds or "tucking" required on the turns.
Product Details:
Finish: Fully finished edges, tailored to your template and ready for installation.
Expert Support: Includes my signature DIY "How-To" video series and access to 30 years of installation knowledge to guide you through a flawless install.
It looks as beautiful as we hoped it would! Such a subtle neutral, but adds just the right pop of texture to our stairs. Delivery was fast and as promised and the runner was carefully packaged.

Love how this turned out! Itโs a really subtle neutral herringbone that adds some texture without feeling busy. Install was a breeze (even 7 months pregnant)! I wrote about it more on my blog https://overconsidered.wordpress.com/2026/09/23/i-installed-my-own-stair-runner-heres-exactly-how-i-did-it/

Customer service was excellent, shipping was quick, and the carpet quality is impressive. We made a mistake and cut a section incorrectly. Keith messaged to ask for photos to see whether the piece might be saved before I ordered a replacement. Although it could not be salvaged, I truly appreciated the offer. I would highly recommend this company. This was a dreaded chore hanging over my head, but ordering was easy and stress-free. I absolutely love my stairs; they are soft and comfortable to walk on. Thank you!!!

We had two different width staircases, but direct carpet made it as simple as possible to install. We had a hiccup, or two, but got through the project and are happy with the final result!

Love the new runner! The pad underneath makes it feel so soft.
We ordered two 18' runners because we have tall ceilings (more steps) and wanted the carpet to extend straight onto the landing. They arrived pretty quickly. Installation went well, and we are very happy with our purchase.

The whole process was easy, from ordering to installing. Thank you! The carpet is well made and looks great on our stairs.
I don't usually write reviews but this company deserves their flowers. I'm so glad I found them after a local carpet company quoted me 5k and most other website offered standard sizes and no instructions. They really made the ordering/install easy and straight forward. I was a little nervous about my DIY skills but the videos and tools were so helpful. It is very comfortable and makes the new hardwood steps safer for my dog. I'm so happy with how it turned out and brought the whole house together!

The customer service was amazing from start to finish. The owner was incredibly helpful, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the process.
The carpet itself is absolutely beautiful. The pattern, texture, and colors exceeded my expectations, and I couldnโt be happier with how it looks in our home.
My only concern is the amount of wear Iโve noticed after only about a month of installation. I expected some wear over time, especially since our stairs are a high-traffic area, but I didnโt anticipate it becoming noticeable this quickly. In hindsight, Iโm wondering if there were preventative measures I should have taken from the beginning, because it has me a little concerned about its long-term durability. We vacuum the stairs every other week, and weโre planning to give them a thorough cleaning to see if that helps.
Overall, I still love the look of the carpet and truly appreciate the excellent customer service. I just wanted to share my experience regarding the early wear in case itโs helpful for others with high-traffic areas or if there are maintenance recommendations that could help preserve its appearance.
