Pick any 5 samples for one flat $35 — shipping included. Ordering one sample costs the same as five, so there's no reason not to take the full set. Need more? Additional samples are just $7 each. Custom stair runners are cut to order and cannot be returned, so ordering samples first is always worth it. Samples are 6"x 9" Inch

We had two different width staircases, but direct carpet made it as simple as possible to install. We had a hiccup, or two, but got through the project and are happy with the final result!

We ordered two 18' runners because we have tall ceilings (more steps) and wanted the carpet to extend straight onto the landing. They arrived pretty quickly. Installation went well, and we are very happy with our purchase.

I don't usually write reviews but this company deserves their flowers. I'm so glad I found them after a local carpet company quoted me 5k and most other website offered standard sizes and no instructions. They really made the ordering/install easy and straight forward. I was a little nervous about my DIY skills but the videos and tools were so helpful. It is very comfortable and makes the new hardwood steps safer for my dog. I'm so happy with how it turned out and brought the whole house together!

The carpet itself is absolutely beautiful. The pattern, texture, and colors exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with how it looks in our home.
My only concern is the amount of wear I’ve noticed after only about a month of installation. I expected some wear over time, especially since our stairs are a high-traffic area, but I didn’t anticipate it becoming noticeable this quickly. In hindsight, I’m wondering if there were preventative measures I should have taken from the beginning, because it has me a little concerned about its long-term durability. We vacuum the stairs every other week, and we’re planning to give them a thorough cleaning to see if that helps.
Overall, I still love the look of the carpet and truly appreciate the excellent customer service. I just wanted to share my experience regarding the early wear in case it’s helpful for others with high-traffic areas or if there are maintenance recommendations that could help preserve its appearance.

The videos were great! Keith was very helpful in answering a few questions via text. Got it done in less than 3 hours. Our 9 year old chocolate lab loves the runner much more than the bare wood which is why we did it in the first place!

I absolutely love our new stair carpet and the process with Direct Carpet. After I ordered my carpet, a rep reached out to my to recommend a longer length based on my stair count. I was pretty confident in my measurements so I declined, but they sent me the extra length free of charge anyway to make sure I had enough. I really appreciated them going above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience possible. The carpet looks great and is extremely comfortable under foot. We hired a handyman to put it in for us and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

After looking locally at what was available for stair runners, we decided on Direct Carpet for their beautiful, quality carpet selections, reasonable pricing, included underpad, and free shipping. We ordered the stair runner on a Monday, received a text message that evening requesting some pictures and information about our staircase, the runner was shipped on Tuesday and we received it on Wednesday ! I considered hiring an installer, but after watching a few of Keith’s well done and entertaining installation videos, I decided to install the runner myself. First off, I requested and loved all 14 samples (yes 14)! What really attracted me to Direct Carpet was the herringbone pattern and variety of colors. Ended up perfect for our home! Made the stairs 1000% better, we were all slipping down the stairs prior to carpet. My husband installed it in about 4 hours with minimal help from me. We have no experience with carpet installation but the videos explained it thoroughly so we did EXACTLY as he did and had no issues. It made the stairs very comfortable to run up and down without shoes. My kids play safely on the stairs now. We are almost two months w/new carpet , it’s been a muddy spring with one teen + friends, 2 young kids, 4 dogs and general farm life and the carpet is showing no dirt or wear yet. It fit the aesthetic so perfectly!

From ordering samples to receiving the final product, our experience was wonderful. The runner was received fast and was well packed and beautiful like the pictures on the website. I used all the tools, which were recommended, and the installation was easy. We just love our new stairs and are currently working to re-do the 2nd floor stairs using the same runner.

I LOVE the new runner. I love the premium padding that came with the purchase. My husband installed it in a couple of hours, and it was a much easier install than the last runner. I also had the dog leave a dirty paw print on it just a few days later, it a little resolve carpet cleaner made the spot disappear. Great quality!!

We need our two staircases carpeted quickly and Direct Carpet helped the process move efficiently and smoothly. The online helped me to be certain I was ordering the correct size and amount. We opted to have a professional install our runners and it was straight forward, but if we had the tools we feel like we could have installed the product ourselves. The carpet was cut and bound ready to be installed. The padding came cut for each stair. Our installer brought tack strip and trimmed the padding to fit. Two full staircases, one with a landing completed by a professional in 5 hours.

This product is GREAT! Super easy to install and came with everything we needed. My husband was able to install this in a couple hours, while being interrupted a few times by our kids, but he made it look so easy. He used the videos to make sure everything was up to par. Our stairs seem pretty steep and this has helped tremendously to make it safer for the kids, dogs, and adults!! We wish we would have done it sooner.
