Stair Runner Makeover Contest – Official Policy & Terms

1. Overview

The Stair Runner Makeover Contest (the "Contest") is a quarterly promotion sponsored by DirectCarpet.com and DirectCarpetRunners.ca ("Sponsor"). By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters.

2. Eligibility & Verified Purchase Requirement

  • Verified Purchase: Participation is strictly limited to customers with a verified purchase from DirectCarpet.com or DirectCarpetRunners.ca.

  • Entry Method: To enter, customers must submit a photo review through the automated email request sent via the Loox Review App following their purchase. Entries submitted via general email or social media DM are appreciated but do not constitute an official entry unless a verified Loox review is also present.

  • Residency: Open to legal residents of Canada and the United States.

3. Contest Cycles & Deadlines

  • This is a recurring quarterly contest (every 90 days).

  • Entries are collected monthly. Any entry submitted within a 90-day window is eligible for that quarter’s drawing.

  • If an entry is not selected as a finalist, it will automatically roll over into the following quarter’s pool for one (1) additional chance to win.

4. Selection of Finalists & Peer-Voting Process

  • The Final Five: At the end of each 90-day cycle, the Sponsor will select five (5) finalists based on the following criteria: (a) Quality of the DIY installation, (b) Clarity and visual appeal of the "Before & After" photos, and (c) Social media engagement/tags showing the installation process.

  • The Community Vote: The five finalists will be notified via email and provided with a voting ballot.

  • Voting Rules: Finalists are required to vote for one of the other four finalists. Finalists are strictly prohibited from voting for their own entry.

  • The Winner: The finalist with the most votes at the end of the 48-hour voting period will be declared the Grand Prize winner.

  • Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie in the peer-voting process, Keith Shannon (Owner) will cast the deciding tie-breaker vote.

5. Prize Details & Limitations

  • Grand Prize: A refund of the winner's original purchase price, capped at a maximum of $800 USD (or the CAD equivalent at the time of the refund).

  • Exclusions: The refund applies only to the carpet runner and matching landings/winders. It does not apply to installation tools, separate shipping fees, or taxes paid.

  • Instant Entry Bonus: All verified entrants will receive a one-time use discount code for a Free Premium Non-Slip Underpad valid only with the purchase of a matching Hallway Runner. This code cannot be combined with other discounts or "Fast Pass" priority production.

6. Publicity & Content Rights

By submitting a photo review and participating in the contest, you grant DirectCarpet.com and DirectCarpetRunners.ca a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and publish your submitted photos and videos for marketing, social media, and SEO purposes, including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, and the "Stair Runner Design Centre."

7. General Conditions

  • Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed fraudulent or does not feature an authentic Direct Carpet product.

  • The prize is non-transferable.

  • This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Loox, Shopify, Facebook, or Instagram.
